Seattle Plastic Surgery Nose
|
Question: After being diagnosed w/ Mild Sleep Apnea I was put on a CPAP machine,
but guess what? I couldn't breathe through my nose. Then I was referred
to a ear, nose and throat doctor, who will be taking a Cat Scan next
week of my nasal passage. He said my nasal passage looks like SH_T! I
have horrible snoring problems as well.
Has anyone had surgery of the nose to clear up nasal breathing & has it
helped?
Answer: Before I was diagnosed with OSA, I had surgery for a
deviated septum and to enlarge the "windows" into my sinuses. It made
an incredible difference in my breathing - I didn't realize how hard
it was to breathe until I had healed from this surgery and was, as my
doc says, "Breathing like a dog on a pickup." (Aren't you glad you
don't live in Oklahoma?)
I can't imagine trying to live with my DPAP before I had the surgery.
But it was one of the rougher surgeries I've had, and I've had quite a
few.
