Rhinoplasty For You
|
Question: I'm seriously thinking about getting my nose done and have for at least 12
years now........so has anyone had this operation?
How's the healing time? What's the after-effects like? Painful?
I looked at a cosmetic surgery website and saw pics from the surgery and was a
bit shocked.......but friends of mine that had the operation only really
complained about the bruising, and complications related to the surgery because
they had bad surgeons.......other than that.....nothing too major.comment?
Answer: I haven't, but I have talked to a number of rhinoplasty/septoplasty
patients. (The two overlap a lot, but I'd be a "septoplasty" as the
outside looks just fine, but the inside is a mess.)
You'll likely need the moderately strong pain pills they prescribe for
the first five days afterwards.
Since I didn't actually have rhinoplasty (I had a closed resection) I'm not
sure how much my experience wouild correspond with having a rhinoplasty.
While the resection is less invasive than the rhinoplasty (they do all the
surgery from the inside), the trauma my face endured in the accident
probably made up for it. I've had a couple of other surgeries in my life,
however, and this was cake compared to back surgery
