Plastic Surgery Nose Cost
|
Question: Unfortunately, when I was stretching my ears, I skipped a couple of sizes
thinking it was a good way to save money. The tears which I got when I
went from 6ga to 2ga have left me with a hole that won't shrink up. I'd
like to get rid of it, and I know that plastic surgeons can do it rather
well. In fact, a math teacher from my high school (with 33 hoops in one
ear) had her lobe fixed when it split in two from a ring growing out, and
t looked great.
I can't imagine that this would be the most complex thing that a plastic
surgeon does, but knowing the nature of the industry, I wouldn't be
suprised if it costs a lot anyway. As for my plans, I'd like to keep my
right ear stretched, because my left ear is smaller and it evens them
out. Plus, I like to play on everyone's silly little ideas of just what
it means to have one's right ear pierced. :)
Has anyone ever had a lobe fixed? Should I be prepared to be shocked and
disgusted by the estimates I'll get?
Answer: I have not had it personally done...(I am stretching my own lobes but going very slowly
and methodically...12 to 10..next to 8, etc etc etc..) But I do work in the medical
field and can give you some info..first of all...if you plan to wear earrings again in
the hole let a plastic surgeon do it...it basically is a local anesthetic and one or two
stitches...any doctor CAN do it.. but you will end up with possibly lopsided lobes..if
you are paying a plastic surgeon to do it I am sure they will charge more..I can check
around and see what the going rates are in Los Angeles, and feel free to e-mail me if
you want more info. We referred ALL of our patients to plastic surgeons if they wanted
to continue wearing earrings.
