Question: Let me ask a question about nose job surgery.
What I'm not sure of is usage or meaning of "job" in the phrase.
Isn't just "nose surgery" proper?
Answer: "Nose surgery" will cover any kind of operation on the nose.
A "nose job" is plastic surgery on the nose, the technical term for which is
"rhinoplasty".
The surgeon will be a "nose specialist" ("rhinologist") or an "ENT
specialist" ("otorhinolaryngologist").
