No Surgery Nose Job
|
Question: I shared the Jennifer Aniston's nose job thread's content with my husband
last night...
He told me most American customers go for shrinking their noses, which
surprised me, because in Asia everybody goes to enlarge it. Hubby said small
noses're cute. I said small noses're like buttons. People press my button
all the time, as if I'm an elevator. Japanese, HongKongese and Taiwanese
girls go for high, straight, pointed noses instead!!! What a difference in
aesthetic! Anyway, how do they shrink the noses? They're bones ain't they? I
can imagine enlarging one but not shrinking one. How do they do so? Like
cutting part of the bone off?
Answer: I have no idea of the percentages, but often
it's necessary to break the nasal bone. If you ever saw
some of the hammers and saws they use in surgery, you'd be
glad you were asleep!
But you're absolutely correct, the nasal bone doesn't go down
very far at all.
The plastic surgeons say each successive rhinoplasty on a
given person is harder and harder to do since there's less
to work with, which is why, I suppose, Michael Jackson's
nose is rumored to be ready to "fall off," which I'm sure
is an exaggeration.
