After Rhinoplasty

Question: A friend recently had some excess cartilage removed from the
tip of her nose. Her surgeon has told her that it should be
OK to dive one month after surgery, but she is skeptical.
Does anyone have any personal experience diving after having
a rhinoplasty? Did you experience any adverse effects, any
problems equalizing, etc?
Answer: Both myself and my boyfriend had sinus surgery. For me, it hurt taking a
commercial airline flight a month-and-a-half after the surgery. It probably
depends on how in-depth things were. While neither one of us dove for a
couple of months after our surgery, we didn't experience any discomfort our
first time out after surgery. However, to try and put it tactfully, the first
dive did manage to clear out a few things.
